Level Crossing Monitoring
Level Crossings are the most dangerous interface between members of the public and the railway.

They range from simple low speed open crossings with only lights protecting them to large manned crossings with CCTV systems.
Both the railway and the road networks are seriously affected by delays when incidents occur.
Atlas Level Crossing Monitoring uses non-invasive techniques to determine the performance of;
Treadles
Boom position and timing
Road warning lights
Warning bells
Signal aspects
Track circuits
Timers
Battery condition
Signals are collected by a purposely designed MultiLogger which is powerful and flexible enough to cope with the measurement needs of any level crossing installation. Stored locally, the information can be interrogated by directly communicating with the MultiLogger from any PC for instant analysis or downloading of events via secure access across the Internet.
Information can also be viewed
on site via PDA.
Atlas MultiLoggers transmit data to a central AssetWatch server for full web based replaying and analysis. Information is transmitted either periodically when the site is fully functional or instantly if the site has detected an anomaly. This triggers an immediate SMS or email alert to the maintainer.
