The CDSRail Atlas range is a modular 19″ rack based data acquisition system, ideal for centralised monitoring of a large population of assets in a small area – e.g. station equipment room. Each Atlas system is based around a ‘Master’ module to which ‘Slaves’ are added to meet the application requirements. Slave modules are available in a variety of types including Analogue, Serial or Digital inputs and Digital outputs. Atlas uses distributed processing across all modules to allow systems to be readily expanded without overloading the master – this also makes the system fault tolerant as failure of one module will not affect the others.
