Intelligent Rail Asset Monitoring

The Queen’s Award honours outstanding achievement by UK businesses in the fields of Innovation, International trade and sustainable development. CDSRail are proud to have received an award in 2012 recognising the continuous innovation and development of the MiniLogger product over the last five years.The MiniLogger intelligent data acquisition unit is a core part of CDSRail’s monitoring & diagnostic solutions which are used by railways around the world. The information produced by these systems enables rail operators to avoid failures and increase availability through targeted maintenance of vital signalling assets.The MiniLogger is roughly the same size as a standard signalling relay and can be rapidly configured to accommodate a variety of railway systems and asset monitoring/management platforms. In the UK it forms an integral part of Network Rail’s Intelligent Infrastructure programme, with thousands of units reporting data on Points, track circuits, Earth leakage equipment and Points heating systems across the country.The official presentation was made by the lord Lieutenant of Hampshire at CDSRail’s offices on the 13th of June. The Award lasts for five years and is widely regarded as mark of excellence throughout the UK and Commonwealth.
